product of years of very selective breeding and will produce
high-quality, valuable foals regardless of color. However, as a gold
champagne he can produce gold champagnes (unless bred to a
homozygous black mare), classic champagnes (when bred to black or
bay mares), amber champagnes (when bred to bay mares), and cream
champagnes (when bred to mares with the cream gene).
